Re: RIde Report: Kensington to Foamhenge and back in a day.
The first 10 hrs weren't too bad, but the last two were complete hell. The DRZ performed flawlessly, no issues at all. (Other than being a bit underpowered when I was trying to beat it up some steep hills) It may not be the ideal bike for a one day, 500 mile ride, but it was sufficent. Since my RD i...

RIde Report: Kensington to Foamhenge and back in a day.
Well, I have this close friend, see... and she decides she wants to ride her Triumph Scrambler to Denver to see her father. So while she was prepping for the ride, she asks me to help get the bike ready and I oblige. We're talking it through, and I tell her how I wanted to do a Skyline/Blue Ridge ri...

I used to work way up Range Rd 10 when I was with General Dynamics Robotic Systems. Drove all over that place. Spent many a month mountain biking in the Doña Anna's and living at the Stay Bridge Suites.

Re: Should have bought Japanese
If you're willing to wait the new American motorcycle company MOTUS is making very promising sport-touring motorcycles very soon. :bandit: If you have $30k to spend... The Motus is grossly overpriced, and I'd be willing to bet that the first couple years of the bike will have immense growing pains,...

Re: New member from just outside the DC moat.
Welcome I know Kensington pretty well. I use to ride a nice little loop there. St.Paul to Capitol View to Rock Creek Park to Denfeld. Now I'm pretty exclusively off-road and just like to hammer the single track. I'm sure will find some great guys here to dual sport. Where are you in Kens? I live in...

Re: Ride today and camera review
The largest one advantage of the GoPro is the quality of the chipset installed on the board. I have a friend that runs the R&D department for Discovery Networks. Because of the demanding environments thst Discovery films in, they have been testing cameras independently for decades. Inadvertently...
