Re: The KAT -Part Deux AND Hatfield McCoy Buffalo Mountain 7/18 to 7/26/2020

Remember we are in hotels every night. ...Btw, everyone's made their reservations and/or found their hotel buddy, right? :) I have reservations but no buddy. My coworker who thought he'd come has predictably dropped out. If anyone still needs someone to cuddle w/ at night, let me know. No one that ...

Re: Tour Of Idaho

I don't do well skipping meals :eats: Body is trained to eat at noon every day. I have hotels but no buddy. My coworker who thought he'd come has predictably dropped out. If anyone still needs someone to cuddle w/ at night, let me know. No one that snores (I don't). No preference to big or little sp...

Yeah, I noticed that too. I've also found it interesting that KTM is brand-labeling StayCycs which is now owned by Harley.

Re: Tour Of Idaho

oh shit, that bad? I have a lifestraw and SteriPen. Should I pack one? I've not had wet feet problems riding - haven't done it enough yet obviouslly. But any waterproof clothing, even one that breathes like Goretex, you will still get wet from your own sweat. For moisture to move across the barrier,...

Re: Michigan Upper Peninsula 1200 mile DS ride

Agreed, neat article but I don't hold out much hope for what I'd be interested in. It will prob be an up-scaled 390 Adv which is already at 380#+ wet. (Which is already more than the 690 enduro R.) No thanks. No doubt it will still sell well though.

Re: Michigan Upper Peninsula 1200 mile DS ride

This looks really cool. I want to do more riding. I forced myself to commit to the DAMN KAT trip and go do something vs just talking about it. I don't want to go too off topic but I think I'll ramble on a bit here. Mike, your comment about a big bike resonates w/ me. I have a great friend who is a d...

Re: What did you work on today?

Thats not all its cracked up to be either. :censored: I've been spending some time again on the 150 trying to get that low-rpm WOT bog fixed before Hatfield. I've emailed back and forth w/ JD and haven't gotten much of anywhere. The Mikuni simply goes lean at low rpm w/ the throttle pinned. I ordere...

Re: What did you work on today?

FWIW, a 20Ah 'lead acid equivalent' lithium is really only about 10Ah. Since a lithium battery is usable to 100% depth of discharge w/o a huge increase in resistance it only takes about half the lithium battery to roughly equal the starting power of a lead acid. Also, starter replacement batteries a...
