Re: 2018 KLX 140 G for sale, maybe?

Which wheel size? I think they were offered in 3 sizes? There were at least 19" and 21" front wheel options. They kept changing the letters what they call them over the years - I can't keep track. Edit: I see you included the year and model in the title. I googled it. Looks like the big 21...

Re: Aprilia back in the ADV game

Hmmm, it's over 400 lbs. Not as much as a T7 but a good 60+ lbs heavier than a KTM 690 Enduro R. I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. Yamaha says T7 wet is ~205kg (451#). Several folks have weighed theirs and say this is reasonable. T660 is claimed 185kg dry. +18L of fuel = 198kg. Add...

Re: Shenandoah 500

I'm probably doing it again this year. We're still not sure where exactly they'll ride as a lot of the roads/trails are closed this year for some sort of power line maintenance IIRC. John, didn't you ride the DS route on your 690 last year? ( maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Different John?) Sonn...

Re: Sur Ron Tuning. aka geek speak.

It actually works really well in the rocks. As I said, it's like cheating. You can hear the rocks dislodge or the wheel spin so easily. You learn to modulate better. Same going downhill while breaking. It's easy to learn not to slide.

Re: Sur Ron Tuning. aka geek speak.

Yesterday, Dan and I rode the hard side of Peters Mill Run and a short loop at Taskers to finish off the batteries. Had the place to ourselves except one lone Jeep going the other way. The KTM E is like cheating in the rocks. The combination of trials-ish suspension, gumball rear tire, slightly smal...

How does it get 1260 views in just one day? I saw your post this morning. We only have 400-some-odd registered users. Most aren't active. There never seems to be more than a dozen or two online at any one time. Crawlers/bots?

Re: new F9 video on Snell helmets

Finally got my hands on a 7IDF Project 23 (carbon) helmet. Project 23 = # of vents in the thing. It has huge and numerous vents compared to typ moto helmets. It is for enduro/downhill mtb riding and meets the newest ASTM F1952-15 downhill standard and the fiberglass & carbon version feature a MI...
