Re: Stark VARG

Thats cool. You have yours yet? I do have to say if they increased the efficiency that much they f-ed something up to begin with. Optimal SVM switching and PMSM control algorithms pretty much haven't changed in decades. Good it's fixed now though. I don't think they "boosted efficiency 10%,&qu...

@bucho it's totally worth the trip. It's a great event.

My kid has a competition on Saturday, but we're planning on doing Sunday.

Re: Stark VARG

Video describing an upcoming patch was leaked early. It'll still be a few weeks until release, but 10% more range and cooler drivetrain due to efficiency improvements, crawl mode in both forward and backward (it's neat watching them back the bike up a ramp into a tall truck), and some power delivery...

Re: Southern Maryland Dirt Riders SMDR

They improved the marking? That's great and I'll have to get back out there. Last time I was there, even with having done the harescramble multiple times, we ran into more than a few navigation issues. But we had a good time and it's closer than every other riding area.

Re: craigslist finds

Is that really the going rate for a clapped out, scraped up, non-running 23 year old XR650? O.o

Re: 2024 Michaux Dual Sport

I'll be in NH, picking up a new toy. I mean, "a new toy for the wife." :-P But she's leaving the country, so it's only fair that I get to play with it while she's gone.

Re: Stark VARG

Yeah, the WATR ride was on the calendar, but... *sniff* my son had to work. Sixteen years old, and impacted by work getting in the way of riding. DAMN it. That's really not what I meant by "you need to get a job for that type of life experience." :censored:

Re: Stark VARG

@smdub is this terrain gnarly enough? :) Won a 2:20 hard enduro, without recharging, with 30% left at the end. I don't know the mileage, but I do know that after watching this video, I'd be more than done riding for the day.

Re: Stark VARG

All I'm gonna say is I was hauling ass at 30HP, and with no gas engine making a racket, all you could hear was the tires gripping the terrain, the chain whirring, and me giggling like a loon. It was amazing.
