Re: Hatfield McCoy, spring 2015

Really any jap bike from 2001-ish to now is pretty decent. The yamaha yz/wr 250's are pretty reliable. The CRF-r/x tends to not be kind to valves from what I understand. Avoid the 2004-2006 Suzuki rmz-250/kawasaki kx250f like the plague (same bike, just different plastics). They are THE worst modern...

That connector is supposedly like 40 miles long. No thanks, I'll just drive the truck over to the other trail head at that point.

Re: Earthmovers

Don't forget to check the valve. Well if he got his '13 stuff bored out he shouldn't have that problem. The old style power valves tapered down and that is where mine broke. The new ones are one diameter all the way to the end (and are a different shape which means they can't be swapped) http://i14...

Re: BCTR Blind Enduro - Sunday, November 30

Joe, how many trucks do you have now? You're going to end up with more trucks than bikes... Just the 3. The dodge, xterra, and now this Excursion. The Ex is replacing the dodge as I needed more seating (my enclosed trailer can fit 4 bikes + gear, but the dodge only has 2 seats, bit of an issue). It...

Re: Let's talk GO PROs

+1 to everything in the above post. I'd look for a 3+ over a 3 as they are a little better on battery usage (still not that great compared to the 1's and 2's, but the video is way better). Chesty mount or if your helmet can accommodate it, on the front of the chin bar is the best imo. My old Klim ha...

No problems. I just gotta straighten one of the bark busters a bit and you can pick them up whenever. You doing the blind enduro this weekend?

Re: Monday 11/24 and Monday 12/1 dirt rides

Yeah, I've heard the same about the bars. I think Joe Haefner (gotsasol here) has a set on one of his bikes. Maybe I'll have to ask to ride it. Seems like I'd need a whole day of riding then see how I feel I can do you one better. I actually have them sitting on the shelf right now as I put a Scott...
