Re: Dirt/DualSport Aug 2

New guy regrets. I'll be at the beach with my kids and grandkids that weekend. I'm not sure exactly how this happened but every 3-4 day weekend between now and August 20 is committed on my calendar. I'm part of a small group that is doing to Colorado BDR & CDR in September but after that, my schedul...

Re: Sykesville Carroll county bikes stolen 6/20

Funny part was the impound lot said “it didn’t look too bad.” When I saw it I was like what the phuck are you talking about?! Not funny part is I had to pay 300 for my own bike.... 1 down, 2 to go At least you found out it was in the impound lot! When Kathy got her Honda 150 back it was only becaus...

Re: Sykesville Carroll county bikes stolen 6/20

I wonder if there isn't a way to booby trap the dirt bikes or even the whole showroom when they lock up for the night. Have you guys seen the video of the booby trap inventor that created a package trap for people who steal Amazon boxes off front porches? Something like that only much more painful. ...

Re: Sykesville Carroll county bikes stolen 6/20

A lot of motorcycle dealerships won't keep dirt bikes on the showroom floor anymore. When I was shopping recently they had to bring them over from a warehouse and showed them by appointment. When I bought my WR250R in PA, the whole front of the dealership was plywood where someone had backed a truck...

Re: Shade Ride June 10 or 24

The likelihood of me going to shade on the 24th is tiny now. I went in for xrays this morning as I probably have a cracked rib or two... I've had busted ribs a couple of times. Once it was so bad I was praying for Jesus to just come take me. It'll be about 8 to 10 weeks before you're ready to fall ...

With all the fun I'm having out playing in the woods, my daughter came to me a month or so ago and said she'd really like to learn how to ride. Now, she's about to be 14 and can ride the hell out of a horse - cantering and jumping, etc - but she's never been on anything motorized. I was so happy tha...

Re: Bald Eagle ride

We ended up spending our day and half all in Seven Mountains area and rode 127 miles staying mainly on the dual sport trails occasionally using a forest road to connect. https://photos.smugmug.com/Motorcycles/Bald-Mountain/i-xhw4rdT/0/5225258e/L/Bald%20Eagle%20Actual%20Tracks-L.jpg We had perfect we...

Re: PA DCNR survey..please respond

Seems like more of a grass roots movement by the businesses in towns around the riding area would have more sway. Nothing endears people to an idea faster than economic development. The problem is that this whole subject is down in the political noise and won't get much attention unless there's a st...

Re: Bald Eagle ride

The map is still there just not linked to the page any more: http://www.patrailriders.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Shade-Mountain-Trail-map.pdf I grabbed a copy for myself in case it disappears altogether. I used the wayback machine to figure out the url to the map: https://web.archive.org/web/20...
