WTB: Yamaha TTR125LE (big-wheel, e-start)

Looking for a 'big wheel' 125cc bike for the wife to learn to ride w/ a clutch. Something w/ e-start is a must as she's had trouble kick starting a friend's XR100(120 BBK) before when she got tired. My small coworker who we're teaching to ride is having trouble kicking an XR100 too. I'd really prefe...

Re: Well used Garmin Zumo 550

wingfixer/bucho, You're welcome to it if you want. Whomever pays Ken first I say;) I'm waffling on what to do for nav. Just spent a bunch of money on Wolfman bags.

I'm interested Ken. I'm buying gear to do some longer moto camping this year. What do you want for it?

Re: Emmitsburg Farm Ride, 5/7

I haven't investigated this much but it looks like the charger for the KTM must be plugged into a 50Hz power source and they're saying in the reviews that it takes a special power outlet at home to charge it. It's surely not 50Hz for use anywhere in the US. It is 240v only. So the "special" outlet ...

Re: Emmitsburg Farm Ride, 5/7

Zero FX and KTM E-XC are within 15% of price. ($9k vs $10.4). Both have ~3.6kWh batt and weight ~250#. I'd pick the KTM in a heart beat for off road. Zero is more dual-sporty but has no range to really do DS trips. The Alta MXR/EXR has ~50% more battery than either but weighs 275# IIRC. Alta make si...

Re: DAMN Reunion 2020 15-17 May

Even if its a busy weekend, the single track trails are usually pretty empty. Shouldn't be too bad I've never been so trying to plan for the family. Looking at this map: https://www.mountainridgeatvtrails.com/wp-content/uploads/trail-map.pdf and using the google map satellite view for size: https:/...

Re: Emmitsburg Farm Ride, 5/7

Don't know if you follow the electric forum on ADVR but there is a fellow who has reviewed his 2020 KTM E https://advrider.com/f/threads/2020-ktm-freeride-e-xc-initial-impressions-stealth-fun.1443417/ I've read some other reviews comparing the 2017 to 2020. Sounds like they really did increase the b...

Re: DAMN Reunion 2020 15-17 May

Wonder how busy this well be... The range was surprisingly empty today for having opened back up just a few days ago (yes, it is Mother's day.) Patapsco McKeldin park was PACKED though. I've never seen so many cars there.
