Re: Beta enters the EV bike scene
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Generally the Apollos get poor QC reviews. The reviews I've seen on the RFN vs SurRon LB, the LB wins hands down for stock. That said, the RFN might have a lot of mod potential. Its a shame the UltraBee price jumped way up or it would have been the no-brainer.

Re: Crusty Demons of Dirt
Have never seen or heard of these videos or any of these people (outside of McGrath and Pastrana.) But, that was still a pretty neat video to watch. Interesting to know how it started.
Van Tolls
Well, tall van owners get screwed on I95 now. We were was heading down to Fredericksburg last weekend and there was an accident on I95 so we popped onto the express lanes for a few exits to get around it. I don't normally pay for express lanes but I figured a couple bucks to save an hour was worth i...

Pretty cool. Our friend Austin went there last year after we dropped him off at the canadian border at the end of the NEBDR. It was quite the adventure. Several bear encounters (one close enough to damage some bodywork at speed.)

Re: Pol Tarres on the T7 @ Erzberg 23
So, is this kind of like "influencers" and such? Do something to get attention and make your money that way? Does yamaha sponsor him to ride the bike? Would he be competitive (like top 10) on a regular bike? While impressive I don't really understand it. I believe yes, yes, yes, and yes i...

Re: Pol Tarres on the T7 @ Erzberg 23
Funny he gets the hole shot. That start was made for the big bike.
Pretty expensive mistake @ 5min dropping his front tire off the edge.
How is he allowed to go under the tape and skip part of the course @ 7min?
I only got about 10min in. Watching long motorcycle vids in one shot makes me nauseous.

Re: Beta enters the EV bike scene
Reverse kicks butt! I've added it to my Light Bee (aftermarket controller.) The Ultra Bee has it factory. It shouldn't require anything mechanical. You just apply the three phase signals to the motor in a different order so its 'just software'. I really wish the KTM E had it. I can't find suspension...

Re: Beta enters the EV bike scene
Looks nice!
They basically built a SurRon which is a really popular market segment. Not sure why it has gears. Looks heavy. Price is inline with the competition.
