Let me rephrase, LEDs (in automotive/powersports applications) are usually used/designed to run on DC power. LEDs typically only work on DC power but I believe Joe Volk put an led tail on his new bike and it worked ok on AC.

Just pulled all the rear linkages apart for fresh grease. No more squeaky squeaky although it looks like I'll be doing rear wheel bearings tomorrow as there is some play there Or just be lazy and swap to a back up wheel :D
