DAMN Riders - No rules, Just ride!

Wrecked my ST1100 a couple weeks ago. I think I can rebuild it, but the insurance money bought me a 2005 KLR650 to go with my 250. Time to learn everything there is about the 650's now...

I soaked a cruddy brake caliper in lemon juice last night and today I pulled it out and all of the crud simply wiped off with a rag as easily as dry erase marker. The container was also sitting on the bench right next to my brass vibratory cleaner that was running with another motorcycle part in it....

For kicks today I rode the KLR over to my parent's house on Mountaindale and hit that crossing twice. Much fun.

I definitely can't do it this time, but what's a course like this cost?

A few years back I got lost on some back mountain roads and came upon that crossing on my ST1100. Rather than backtracking, I crossed it. A year later, same thing happened. I haven't tried it on the KLR yet, but I suspect it will be cake comparatively.

Already have plans that day

I've been riding to work as much as possible lately. When I ride the KLR to work, I make sure my route home includes Price's Distillery Rd for the stream crossing.

I might be up for a fall ride. I'll be back on shift work by then, and hopefully living in WV or something, but if I'm not working I'll probably be down for it.

I rode the KLR to work on Thursday. It was 19 degrees when I left my house and rode for 1 hour to get to work! No electrics and no wind protection made for a chilly ride...
