I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

Yes, that the right 7-11, next to the high class motel. At Route 40 and Old Camp. If weather looks fine in the morning we can meet at normal time 1030-1045. If not plan B can be for 1245. I'll be back from church in the morning around 0945. I'll check back here and we can all give our say of Plan A ...

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

Weather prediction sucks. Up until a day or so ago, it was supposed to be raining Saturday and bright and sunny for Sunday. Now it looks like today would have been the better day for this. I got out for a short ride earlier and it was nice. I'm still up for it. In of itself, my gear is more of less ...

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

I don't know. The southern part of the loop will be around 40 miles or so. Probably double that, maybe a bit more. The northern part of the loop are roads I'm more familiar with so was just gonna wing that part depending on time and how much everyone wants to ride. But yes, everyone is welcome. I'm ...

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

Ha, ha. My test ride, (hopefully test rides), are to learn the route. There are alot of little roads and turns, I'm trying to memorize. I don't have a fancy GPS thingie to tell me where to go. I was hoping to be able to do this w/out constantly looking down at the map velcroed to the thigh of my Aer...

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

I did a pre-ride of the south of Middletown (Mdubya's route) part of the ride. Looks like its gonna be pretty good. There are a lot of turns to remember, probably gonna get another practice ride in the rain on fri/sat. There are alot of scenic little one lane bridges and a small creek crossing. Migh...

Re: Anyone get out a little today?

I spent the nicer part of the afternoon, (after I got out of bed), in my pickup truck with my young son strapped in next to me. I was serving as my wife's personal chase vehicle, following her around so she could practice her street riding skills. I knew I was shooting myself in the foot, when I hel...

Re: Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

Hey Scott, I swapped my knobbies out the other day, so I'll be on 17's too.
We can take a fuel stop in Middletown before we tackle the watershed. Or Ken's KLR could probably refuel both of our bikes.

Frederick dualsport/motard ride, 4/6

I have no problem going by myself, but I thought I'd throw this up anyway. Dualsport/motard ride: Mixed pavement and dirtroads. Following an Mdubya route south of Middletown and then heading up to ride the Frederick Watershed area. Leaving around 1045-1100. Starting place up for discussion depending...

Re: Hello DAMN.

I think you are over estimating my abilities Ken. When my back end is sliding, it is not necessarily a moment of panic, but its usually not on purpose either.
Sunday is looking best weather wise for the weekend. I'll put up a proper thread for this in the rides section.
