He said although the motorcycles are physically taxing to operate, riding them takes away some of the monotony of routine patrolling.
This is a new one on me... :screwy: I've never found a DRZ to be "taxing to operate." Quite the opposite.

I came across this article just today... Fairly interesting... and I love what the Hagerstown PD did with the paint job on the bikes. I just returned last week from riding the Eastern TAT, May 27th through June 5th. My buddy and I had limited time and we actually rode down to Jellico to start the trail. We had some trouble with his KLR's air filter and so we lost about a day and a half, but we still made it to eastern Oklahoma. I'...

I would work on the cheapest part, choke knob. Cut it with a dremel tool to a "half moon" shape. Stick a long zip-tie around the stem, and pull the zip-tie to activate choke. Edit: What biffer said, sorry about the repeat. No, not at all... the more the merrier. Thanks for the ideas. :ric...
