Re: Ride to Work Day
I rode to work yesterday, and home from work today. It was an awesome ride in to work. I took my usual course of back roads into Inwood with only a couple forest rats trying to take me out. From there, I took 51 from Inwood into Charlestown where I picked up 340 heading into MD. It was about 0530 hr...

Re: Ride to Work Day
Hmmm, I typically don't ride to work because it's nearly impossible to carry all of my crap, but I might give it a whirl. The other option is to simply not attempt working OT on Tuesday and then I don't need to carry any crap with me. Decisions...

Re: 27th Annual Michaux DS Aug 23d
This DS is pretty tough as a DS as I remember, right? After all, I'm still carrying around an injury from it from three years ago. Basically, I'm thinking this is for the KTM more than the pretty DRZ-SM, though a DRZ-S / WR would probably be perfect? Thanks, ~Patrick I survived it last year on a KL...

Re: Why I don't work on carbs
I don't know why everyone is talking about JIS screws etc...just go get some nice Cap-head hex key type screws. They work best and will never be a problem to remove. Plus they'll be $1 instead of $50 for the screwdrivers. Just my uninformed opinion that's all. :chicken kiss: You have to get the old...

Re: Need practice course ideas
ruts ... not much fun unless there are real ruts, filled with sticky mud with the front tire in on rut and the rear in another. bike laying in the mud of course! :lol2: I actually have some real ruts down at the bottom. I've got a spring fed pond and there are other ponds uphill from my property th...

Re: US to crack down on Novelty Helmets
I don't get it. First of all, I don't think helmets should be mandated, but just as equally I'll call you stupid for not wearing one on a motorcycle. Why someone would wear a fake helmet, but not a helmet that is approved (though maybe not effective still) is beyond me. That's like wearing a fake se...

Re: Need practice course ideas
I've got a telephone pole already. I have enough woods and chainsaws I can have whatever logs I need as long as my tractor can move them. The circle rut looks awesome. I might need to build one of them too. I'm installing the tires Friday and then riding afterwards. Anyone is welcome to join us. Loo...

Need practice course ideas
I've got 10 acres of hills to play with here and most of it is field. I want to throw out some obstacles to start practicing on. Varying sized logs are going to happen. I just picked up two big loader tires I'm going to bury halfway in the ground right beside each other for going over as well. Any o...
