Re: 4 Strokes for Trail/Light Enduro?
The valve maintenance on my WR250R is 24,000 miles. Nothing but oil/filter changes and some chain maintenance on that bike. Yeah, it's a pig at 300 lbs but if you were coming from a KLR650 or a GS like I was, it's a featherweight :) It's certainly not a Beta or KTM cross trainer but as a dual sport ...

Re: 4 Strokes for Trail/Light Enduro?
I have a couple of friends who, along with their kids, are riding MX bikes and regulars at Budds Creek or the Landing. It's not our thing but Gracie and I tag along from time to time so I've gotten opportunities to ride their bikes at the track. I'd have to agree about the suspension and more so the...

Re: Car Prices for the next couple of years
According to an article in Motor Trend it is expected that pre-chip shortage production levels will not be achieved until 2025. So my question is, who is profiting most from the chip shortage?

Re: What did you work on today?
I bought a wall mounted 240V heater for my garage. The electrical work is going to cost me more than the heater but at least I will be able to work in my garage without turning into an ice cube. What heater did you buy? I already have a 240v circuit in my garage and have been thinking of doing this...

Re: My first bike I ever bought
I misspent my youth wrenching on all manner of things that hurt me or got me in trouble starting with things that were powered by Briggs & Stratton engines with centrifugal clutches. The first "motorcycle" I ever bought was with a summer of grass mowing money I bought a Honda Z50 that ...

Re: Garage Practice
Boom boom convinced me that I should be practicing that over the winter when I had the trials bike. Dropping the pressure in the tires and throwing a big piece of carpet remnant down under the bike made it easier but I don't think I ever got it balanced for more than 20-30 seconds at a time. I'm als...

Re: MC rider dies doing 130 on city streets
Bill might remember here on I97 several years ago a 30 year old woman was weaving through traffic following her boyfriend at well over 120 when a 19 year old in a minivan innocently changed lanes to block her path. She hit the back of the minivan probably before she could even get on the brakes and ...

Re: 2022 Mecum Auction LasVegas-MC Collections
I just spent the morning browsing through all 47 pages finding all the cool motorcycles I've lusted after most of my life. Many of them are in there like the Ducati 916 and a few throw backs like an RD400. I had an itch for that Yamaha back in my racing days and thought it would have made a fun trac...

Re: Dang Mechanic's!
Allstate is going to shit when they get the call but they'll repair it back to like new. No Ferrari like that is ever totaled, especially one that they only made 399 cars. The question is, will the dealership's insurance get canceled over it.
