Re: Tuk for muktuk

We had a great ride from Calgary through Banff, the Icefields Parkway, and Jasper National Park. Banff was a circus, very busy with tourists leaving us with this as the best opportunity for a photo with the Banff sign: https://photos.smugmug.com/Road-Hawgs-Epic-Adventures/Tuktoyaktuk/i-Dh5wDmb/0/b8b...

Phase 2 is complete - We made it! More to say after I've caught up with all my honey-dos at home. https://photos.smugmug.com/Road-Hawgs-Epic-Adventures/Tuktoyaktuk/i-r46NmGL/0/a870b39b/L/IMG_2531-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Road-Hawgs-Epic-Adventures/Tuktoyaktuk/i-H6GMDcr/0/d9e6e964/L/IMG_2520-...

Re: Tuk for muktuk

I’m on my way back to Calgary today to start the real adventure up to Tuk on the Arctic Ocean. I’ll try to post some photos when I’ve got internet access Hope I remember where I left my keys. Goodluck! Thanks! Big Ben will seem like it’s in my backyard after this trip. It’s still on the list.

Re: OBX Beach/Dune Riding

I have a fond memory from about a 15 years ago when I taught my then 16 year old son how to do donuts on the beach in his Tacoma. Now that is a great Dad! Clockwise, counter-clockwise donuts and bootlegger 180s. Just keep it out of the ocean. The lesson was situational awareness is even more import...

Re: OBX Beach/Dune Riding

Looks like you had a really great time. Good choice bringing the bikes with you. My daughter, who you met, just graduated HS and my wife and 9 my daughter's friends rented a home out in Carova, about 8 miles down the drive out beach, for a week. There were a couple of incidents where a kid got their...

Re: Camping WolfDen Run

I wish I lived closer to WDRSP. It's a four hour haul each way for my daughter and I to ride out there. Maybe if we end up renting a place in Deep Creek again in August we'll drag the bikes out again.

Re: What did you work on today?

My Explorer's motor locked up in February. 2016 with the 3.5 Eco-Boost. It cost about $8k for a Jasper replacement and took 5 months because Jasper didn't even finish production of the 3.5 EB's until May. I love my Explorer Sport for all of the same reasons, but if one of their more reliable engine...

Re: Camping WolfDen Run

Phil, did you guys ride in to Kitzmiller? Gracie thought that was pretty cool to ride her dirt bike in to town there. No, the rules about that stuff arent very clear. The guy I spoke to when I made my campground reservation told me we can NOT ride our atvs from the campground to any of the offroad ...

RMATVMC is usually cheaper anyway, has more stuff in stock, and doesn't lie about stock status.
That's my go to place, especially for tires and tubes for dirt bikes. They usually arrive next day, or two.
