Re: Eldersburg dirt bike

I haven't been down there in a few years but Peters Mill was the first place I ever took a loaded ADV bike to see how it would handle. We were prepping for the TAT and I'd never taken a loaded bike off the pavement before so I loaded up my KLR with everything I planned on taking; rode from Annapolis...

Re: Eldersburg dirt bike

I'll second what Laoch said and add that with a street legal dual sport bike Michaux is close to you and there's miles and miles of forest roads through there.

Re: 2023 Shenandoah 500 - Oct 7-8

Looks like I forgot to post about this. Registration for the Shenandoah 500 is open (closes on Sep 14th = SOON!) DS and ADV routes are available. Fingers crossed no hurricanes this year! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/shenandoah-500-s500-dual-sport-2023-oct-7th-8th-registration-695729604977?aff=erele...

Re: Crazy Azz Hillclimb-Andler Hill Climb

I have no idea of the skills that would be required to get over that hill, but... I think it would occur to me that doing the same thing everyone else is doing is going to probably yield the same result.

Re: Maryland Competition Riders October Greenridge Adventure Ride?

Bucho led us on a ride through there a few years ago and I was on my 1200GS on Dunlop Trailmax Misson tires (not at all an aggressive knobby) and I had no problem at all. I have no idea if we did anything like this October ride but I didn't see anything in there that I'd call technically challenging.

Re: France, Nice and Alps

Awesome bucket list stuff Phil!!! You had way better roads to ride than I! We're going to be in Montone Italy (central/Umbria/edge of Tuscany area) in October for 10 days staying in a villa there. I'm looking forward to finding out what my options are for some motorcycle therapy. Not sure if you al...

Re: Free: 420 X-ring chain (110 links)

I've done something like that before where I just didn't pay attention to what was in my cart. Related to chains and sprockets, I've been using RockyMountainATVMC.com. They've got all the right stuff that can be ordered in different lengths and have snappy shipping. That's very generous of you to pa...

Re: BMW seats

I've tried a couple of different seats on my GS but always go back to the OEM. It's way more comfortable than the Seat Concepts I have on my WR250R or my kid's XT250. Full disclosure, I don't have a particularly discriminating tuchus and I'm been happy with the OEM seats on every bike I've own that ...
