I had to register on Google maps before it would let me make additions or changes.
Then I just typed in my address and then saved it to the map.
It saved the location as my address so I just edited it and changed my address to my screen name.
Might be a simpler way but that is how I done it.
Just thought it would be nice seeing where all the DAMN riders are to help with sharing rides to events and such.

Maybe it worked so well for me because I have/was logged into a Google account...use it for creating maps/etc. When I open the map, there's a "My places" option in the upper lefthand side. Click on it and a list of locations should appear. If your home location is saved, choose it. I then had to click on my location on the map and modify it to show my screen name in place of the street address.

I agree with BB...think its a real good idea. The Rufcut Rider forum has had a map for some time now, and its been quite helpful at times.

I registered with Google maps then just dropped a point on the map and named it. It was pretty straight forward after I registered.

Got a point for my place on the map, but cannot figure out how to rename it.

If someone smarter than me can help, change the point labeled "15156-15228 Clear Spring Road" to "JGreene, Williamsport, MD 21795".
