Kawasaki has unveiled the 2015 Ninja H2R, and it’s simply the most powerful production motorcycle ever. Its supercharged 998cc inline-4 pumps out an incredible 300 hp, substantially more than even a top flight MotoGP racer has.
It’s a track bike, and not street legal, but a road version called the H2 will be introduced in a couple of weeks, likely with somewhat less power.
In the meantime, the H2R features carbon fiber bodywork shaped in a wind tunnel that looks straight out of an anime film, with winglets on the front fairing that improve stability and direct air through intakes to help the supercharger breathe.

Kawasaki reveals most powerful motorcycle ever
Lots of cool bikes---
Re: Kawasaki reveals most powerful motorcycle ever
Its beautiful. I love carbon fiber and trellis frames on a bike. But I dont drag race. I'd rather ride the sport-touring version of this: http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2014/09/ ... rt-tourer/
KTM 450 EXC mostly

Not to argue with FoxNews's always well researched pieces, but I'm pretty sure the BossHoss, (technically a motorcycle, and technically production,) wins the HP battle with nearly 50% more than the H2R.
I still don't think I'd ever buy either, even on a dare.
There was an old racer addage something to the effect of: there's no such thing as too much power until you can lay black stripes from the exit of one corner through the entrance of the next. This bike might just be capable of that. If they could loose "The Fat and the Delirious" wings, I think it would look really good.

What about the Dodge Tomahawk? I'm sure it's more powerful.

Nine prototypes and four wheels.frogman1981 wrote:What about the Dodge Tomahawk? I'm sure it's more powerful.

One could make an argument that neither the Boss Hoss or the Tomahawk can be ridden like a bike.... I'd bet the Kawasaki probably can.
But what do I know
But what do I know

True enough.

I bet if you consider HP versus weight, it is a different story. BossHoss largest HP is ~425 from what I have seen for an 1100 lbs "bike"
This thing is, we'll conservatively estimate the weight to be 450 with 300 HP, that is a heck of alot more power to weight!

And it still looks like a motorcycle, not a water buffalo on wheels.

I've always thought of the Boss Hoss as more an engine dolly rather than a motorcycle
