Here they would want to lock you up for allowing your kid to do stuff like that.

Pretty DAMN good.

I started my son riding when he was eight years old...by the time he was 14 he could outride me and keep up with the average "B" rider.; no jokes about me just sucking :lol2:

He never really had the passion. He loved riding, but he was a busy teenager.
IDk, I guess any kid with "normal" ability can be a good or great rider. They just have to "want it".
Xbox on the couch ain't getting it done :deal:

My dad basically just allowed us to have motorcycles - he only barely tolerated it. It was my uncle who got us interested in riding but he lived hours away and never went riding with us. My dad was so worried about being sued or whatever that after someone else in the area rode their dirt bike through someone's crops he forbid us from ever leaving the property again. It wasn't us, we were actually respectful of the farmer's fields, at least after the punishment that followed the pumpkin smashing incident... ;) Hundreds of acres of woods nearby were now off limits. This was in the early 80s. Now that I'm old I could find lots of ways to have fun on the ~4 acres that dad allowed us to ride on but at ~14 years old I had no ideas.

Anyway, assuming this kid is having fun and isn't being pushed, I think this dad is awesome.

For my 4th birthday Dad gave me a Rupp MiniCycle. That thing tried to kill me for a few years. From that time on I've had at least one running motorcycle. Dad rode until we were forced to take the keys 'cause of dementia at 63 I think. I'm restoring his 1981 FLH now. It has over 300K on it. 120K or so were his.

:whoop:
Thanks Dad. You're missed.
