Any suggestions on getting this thing through MD inspection? It had all lights/ horn installed at the dealer. Lights only come on when the engine is running.
Go to a gas station or auto shop that does moto inspections and not a moto shop.

Thank you, I’m excited. Cleanest used bike I’ve ever seen.

For the guys that have tagged 2T’s, do your lights work with the engine not running? Mine don’t and I’m not sure if that will affect the inspection. Feel free to PM me if you don’t want to post.

Thanks

Everything worked out today and I walked away with a tag!

This is the other project. Cleaning up my 500exc and replacing the plastics with OEM pieces prior to putting it up for sale. It’s been an awesome bike but the 300 will suit me better for the tight single track riding I prefer. I’m sure I’ll miss the insane power of the 500 but I’m excited to shed a few pounds!

In the good old days, I was able to get a XR600 and a CR500 titled and tagged in Maryland. I believe those days have changed. Thought I could repeat in 2016 when I showed up at MVA with a brand new KTM300XC asking for a street title. They raised an eyebrow, called in a manager and manager said No Way. I did not pursue further, but I believe it has something to do with how VIN numbers are in MVA system. USED TO BE getting a 2T KTM tagged was easy and getting a japanese 2T or offroader tagged was impossible (in MD). I was able to do it by first titling and tagging in VA, then transferring it.
Congrats on getting the Beta tagged!
