I remember in the 90's when Kevin Hines imported the "CRE". the Italian company would take a stock CR250, add a bunch of goodies and turn it into a sweet 2 stroke 250 Enduro bike. I always wanted one of those. They were really a great bike. I got to ride one once.

Now switch gears to 2020 and another Italian company takes the Honda 4 strokes and does a similar thing. Good stuff if you like 4 strokes. If you want something other than a KTM or a Husky, these look pretty sweet. Honda reliability set up in a real enduro posture.

Im always glad to see more enduro bike options. Though it would have been a whole lot cooler if Honda would do this themselves...

My first real ride on a 2T bike was a beater 1990 CR250. RRob let me ride his old bike for the day once. At the time my “dirtbike” was a DR650. The light weight alone had me falling in love with it. By midafternoon I was really digging the 2T motor too. Fond memories

But the fenders are snap proof so look at the money you will save.

They don't list gears in the list of changed stuff. So will still have tight MX gearing?

I also call BS on lowering the compression ratio for "more gentle" power delivery. Who would deliberately lower efficiency and hp across the board? If the power is too much just change the gearing slightly. If they were looking to also smooth the power curve or something they could have played with ignition maps. Again from the parts list there appears to be nothing electronic changed.
