Article shows him on a bike, but he will jump a car across Ego Alley in downtown.

This is only a few miles from my house so I'll probably try to find a place to watch it. A lot of the DTA streets are going to be closed around the event location (which is smack in the middle of downtown Annapolis activity).

Where you stay in Nappytown Twist? I am in Heritage Harbor over by the DMV off Truxton PKWY. Let me know and I'll go down with ya. We could ride bikes down, we could park by the hotel/Puffers somewhere?

I'm on the other side of town down near Bay Ridge on Lake Ogleton. We'll have to look at when they're closing the roads and figure out how to get down there. I may just park in Eastport and walk over the bridge.

I'm guessing with all the bollards and other obstructions on ego alley that the first part of the day is going to be spent in construction of the ramps and safe guards. That's a pretty congested area there (basically ground zero for activity in Annapolis). I think riding the bikes is probably a good idea to find closer parking and heck, I may just ride my bicycle down there like I do for the boat shows.

Regardless, we should catch up as well as anyone else that would like to come to Naptown for the day. I have a friend with a office/man cave on Annapolis Harbor and that might be a good place to base ourselves for the event.

Yeah, it is pretty tightly controlled for safety reason. Like you said, it is pretty tight down there and setting up the run up and the landing is gonna take all of the space there is on both side of the alley!

Take the TM and give it a test run....

I figured with the heavy fog this thing might not go off as planned. When it looked like it might lift, I took my WR250R down and parked it beside the Market House and walked over to where the departure ramp was erected. Here's a video with a little bit of slo mo in it:

They missed the timing on the boat and the jump so he went back and did it a few more times. I thought it was interesting that the car was obviously in to the speed limiter all the way through the jump. I'm thinking they just took all the skill out of it and set the calculated speed in the limiter; point the car at the ramp, and floor it until airborne.

He and his team must have this ramp and car design down to a precise science.

Firebolter, were you down there today? He's supposed to be doing something up around Church circle this afternoon but I'd seen enough and had people to do and things to see.

Cool. But yeah, nothing to chance.
Cars sound like ass when they are bouncing off the rev limiter.
