In all fairness, same could be said for bolting a chair on a perfectly good motorcycle.
some of us have balance problems
That explains the 3 wheeled trials bike.

Mike,

Looks like a pretty good chance for rain; I don't care if I get wet but I don't want to see your trails get all torn up. Is this gonna be a rain or shine ride?

Thanks,
J

40% chance by 2pm....till then just overcast.
Ground is frozen over a foot deep so can't see much rutting occurring.
Ride rain or shine.... :roost:

Cold! It never really heated up past mid 30's (while I was there). Trails were frozen and crunchy! Driving there, I hit frozen road twice on I83, scared the crap out of me. Caused a couple of accidents on the south bound side. On the way home, north of Baltimore about 20 miles, it got really bad with fog, so everyone was slowing down.
Lots of cool bikes---

For mid Jan it was as expected.
Those without spikes "survived" those with had a fun day watching those without.
Mud was not an issue...

“Survival” it was. Two laps was all the “entertainment” I could provide. After being stuck on the hill behind the shop by myself for about half an hour I decided I would rather be home watching football :frustrated:

I can’t justify the big dollars for studded tires but I have been watching YouTube videos today about how to make your own.

I wonder if there's enough interest to split a stud gun, or buy one and rent it out.

Having just bought a second set of wheels, a set of studded tires seems like a possibility, but the idea of dropping 6 bills on a 3 month a year set of tires is hard to swallow.
