Was at Shade on Saturday.
Trail conditions were better than I expected but a few trees are down on the "easy" snowmobile trail.
I hope to get there new years day with a chainsaw and do want I can to get that trail back open.
Not an issue for any of you guys but that trail is to be the "easy" trail and the trees I crossed would not be possible for a kid or big DS bike.
Enjoy before mother nature turns it all white.

I'm in! :Nanadancing:

Newbie rider on a new to me bike. Weather looks clear and above freezing.

I'm going to fart around the property today and try to learn how to ride a 2T so I won't be a total drag on Friday.

Hey little birdie,

Thanks for the recon and hard work. Let us know if there is anything we can do on the 2nd to help.

I might put a little more "slop" into your throttle cables so that you avoid the dreaded "whiskey throttle" that's pretty common hitting these large rocks. And make sure your CLUTCH cable is snugged and lubed so that it's real easy to use! Bring an extra 21" tube (which works fine on front and back when in a pinch). And don't forget the moon shine for when the ride's over.

My slave driver has us working Friday so you guys enjoy.
Assuming New Years Eve ends reasonably I plan to run up Thursday and do some clearing.
I would enjoy seeing some video of any noobs you send up Mitchell. :roost:
It is clear to the top so have fun.

Is a permit required or is there an entry fee?

I rode around a good bit today. The learning curve of that 2T isn't too bad. I'm sure my left hand will get tired from pulling on the clutch, though.

How do the trails rocks compare to Tasker's Gap and The Cove?
