Sorry, Ill be working in the rain.
Im pretty sure I will get at least one call about some idiot who tries to drive his honda civic into 3 feet of water on the road.
"Hello citizen, why would you drive your car into several feet of quick flowing water?"
" ... But its the only way I know how to get home..."

I spent 4 years on the Swiftwater Rescue team. That's exactly how many of those encounters go. Occasionally, the water actually sweeps the car away, though. I remember one storm that rolled through Potomac where we rescued 6 people in 6 different $100k+ vehicles on the same road in about 20 minutes. I remember one woman's Mercedes being 100 yards swept off of the road with the nose pointing upstream and the ass end of the vehicle about 4' up a tree. She was still sitting in the car with water coming in her (wide open) sun roof and filling the car. You can't fix stupid, but you can pay extra for it.Bucho wrote:Sorry, Ill be working in the rain.

And we should be in tents & doing water crossings tomorrow but I guess the National Park Service shut the ride down because we dont have sense enough to stay in out of a storm

20 minutes away at JMU on Tuesday, I think.
Yeah, we made the right call.

I wouldn't buy a white S-10 from that area anytime soon.
