What time are you thinking sunday? I'm closer to ready. Cleaned up the bike thursday, repacked the silencer today, gonna lean out the carb and put the new chain and sprockets tomorrow.

I really hate messing with jetting but the stock jetting, which everyone says you can just set it to and leave it, filled the silencer with spooge. There was so much that it was leaking out on the swingarm. I'll probably go down a size on the pilot and put in the leaner needle (already have the air screw 2.5 turns out). I'm rarely going fast enough to even get on the main jet.

What pre mix are you using? Spooge isn't always a sign you are rich, could just be you are using a oil with a high flash point and not burning it off.

I've been having pretty good luck with Pure Polaris 2T oil. It's $10 for 32 oz and makes very little smoke or spooge. I also like that it dyes the fuel a nice dark blue, so it's hard to confuse with regular gas if I forget to mark the can.

I'm on the 3rd premix with this bike. I started out super cheap with the yamaha injection stuff, then went to the maxima castor, and now have the motorex synth. While the super cheap stuff made for more spooge they all spooge a bunch.

So, here's a close up of my rear wheel with the spoke nipple in the shot for perspective. I'm inclined not to ride on it. What do you think?

I was already thinking of getting an 18" rim so I suppose it's time...

Heh, 18" wheel is already on there. I remembered my brother's kdx is out in the shed. ;) Of course I'll have to put it back on his bike eventually, particularly if someone wants to buy it.
