It helps that the video shows where I went off track.... but do I get any credit for finding an easier way out? :chicken:

Thats probably where the trail went at one time. It used to be in smaller pieces.
Its nice that its linked together in longer chunks

I had a great time. It was cool to meet you guys too.

The shoulder is still a bit sore but not as bad as i was thinking. Need to work on getting my endurance up!!!

It seems I need to work on my single track game. I had a really difficult time keeping a rhythm, and keeping confidence up. Once i started to wear out , the mistakes started piling up.

I got some decent video, but i was gapping the group at the back to try and build some rhythm, so i dont have a ton with everybody. ill try and splice up some clips and get them up.

Also, im definitely gonna be going back to mountain ridge and practice that singletrack more through this season. Also gonna try and do some more at RAC. Ive been doing so much general trail riding, my slow / balance skills have suffered. Maybe time to dust off the trials bike...

http://www.patrailriders.org/

Shade Mt is owned/run by the State. It is PA state forest land. The PATrail riders maintain the trail system.
Google Shade Mt on Youtube.
I'll be glad to take you up there for a ride.

Dirty grunt - compared to what we rode this past weekend, is this Shade Mt more or less difficult?

More difficult IMO. There are some easier spots and there are some spirit crushing spots too :killingme:

I have a buddy who will never step foot there again after 1 trip and he is decent in the rocks :lol2:

Some video from there on easier sections (I think, haven't watched them in a while, both are me)

Ive only been to Shade one time years ago. Sounds like I need to go back. They wear you out, but I kinda like rocks.
