To me they're pretty much the same except the cove has some hills (that are legal to ride).

There are rocks, but nothing will be harder than 495 I promise.

And like Kirk said, they have some funs hills.

I find the Cove a little easier to ride. The rocks aren't constant, there are sections that aren't very rocky at all, and the hills (with rocks, of course) add a a bit of excitement to the mix.

Gene thinks he can make it too.

So just setting the feelers out. I am in Clarksburg md. Is anyone leaving from this area that wouldn't mind carting me out there? The wife needs the big car that day.

I feel like a lot of the trails at Tasker's have this consistent rock-filled drudgery to them, particulary the ridge. With the exception of 495, it never gets really hard, but it never gets really easy (except the two big trails). I always thought the Cove had a lot more variability to it, sometimes it was very easy and a nice break, but every once in a while a big hill would come kick your ass.

Using "drudgery" to describe riding, makes it sound not fun. However, still a fairly apt description btw the two places.

Drudgery on the bike is better than happiness in a lot of other situations, it's a sliding scale.
