After stumbling through some of these tougher spots we headed back to camp for a late lunch. Everybody was done for the day.

Except me. I went back out on a solo run. I explored a few trails we missed the first time and hit some of the more fun/easy ones. I was starting to think about heading back and went to try one last new trail. It was to be my undoing.

I don't know what happened. But very quickly I was on some gnarly/rocky single track. Would have been fun on my Xtrainer, but late in the day and little tired on the big DR and I was struggling a little. I soldiered on and eventually ended up in someone's backyard. I was following the map fairly well but somehow on that last ballkicker trail I somehow ended up in a totally different part of the map. I made it out to a road and got directions from a nice passerby. I was beat and took the roads back to camp.

It was an awesome trip and I'd love to go back and give the old DR some more exercise.

My daughter's doc visit went well Friday and we have a new approach lined up to try to get rid of her episodic dizzy spells. Sorry I missed this ride and Bucho, thanks for posting up the photos. I really love riding in those woods with its great variety of terrain and glad to hear you guys had good weather and had a good time.

it had been atleast 3-4 years since I had ridden up there. Last time was when I worked the 7Mtn DS with Mike. I forgot how much real good ST there is up there. Some of the stuff we rode was pretty sweet. True legal ST with lots of altitude changes. Nice hill climbs. Even though alot of the trails up there are DS marked, I would not want to go into some of the trails on a big bike, but you could! Some of the hill climbs could be challenging!

Good stuff. Fun trip. Can't wait for the KAT. The 500EXC is ready, broke in and all set up. Hell even those TKC80's were not too bad but the 606's will be on for the KAT!
Lots of cool bikes---

Wow, That place looks super! Looks XR friendly. Thanks for the pics, but not sure about seeing what I missed! :frustrated:

I think you would like it. A lot of the fast/flowing trails.

Im sorry your kiddo wasnt feeling well.

I hope next time you can come. We really only rode/explored a relatively small area. Id love to have you lead a dualsport ride through the whole area.

I've got pretty much all the roads and trails in Bald Eagle and can send out a GPX file with them for anyone that's interested. I've never really figure out the whole drop box thing but if you private message me with your email I'll send it along to anyone that wants it.
