I lost the key to my surron at the gas station on the way up. Ironically, I didnt buy any gas there and I brought only electric motorcycles with me

Both Sam and I were feeling out new electric bikes so we had some new challenges. I need a skidplate, pronto. I'm not used to dealing with a bike with linkage rear suspension :dirtdog:
Did you just get the Alta? There was a MX for sale in VA that I literally missed by an hour :(

I've ordered the hdpe bash plate for my SurRon (https://racespecsurron.com/bash-plate-guard-sur-ron/) I ordered about a month ago and AUS post still has it. :dirtdog:

Sorry smdub, that's the one. If it makes you feel any better, I'll gladly swap bikes with you when we finally meet somewhere.

I usually try to keep things secret so I can surprise my buddies with my latest and greatest gimmick bike. This is indeed the latest and greatest, "it's real and it's spectacular" :lol2: :whoop:

I have a friend in Pittsburgh with 2 Alta and loves them. Impressive range also.

Yes :(
The KTM Freeride-e and upcoming SurRon Storm Bee are the closest equivalents to the Alta but neither makes as much power or the range AFAIK.

Thanks for the invite
Thanks for coming out and giving us a little "push" for real trials sections. I really enjoy my trials bike, but most of the time I just have fun with it riding in the woods.

Im also looking forward to using the nice arrows/signage for some trails.

I'm told by the KTM dealer in Easton that they've only imported a few E-Rides to test the market and haven't yet committed to a US release of the bike. I've got a 1290R Super Duke I'd trade for one if they'd release it this year.

Phil, I think you’re pretty good at that. I know I was on the ground more than up the time I was able to make it to your ride. I’m sure it was more operator error on my part though. Hope I can make it out for another ride soon, always a great host.

Your Beta must be getting lonely now that your a trials rider. Lol!!

I stand corrected. It looks like they've only authorized a few dealers in the US to sell the bike and they are available. My guy in Easton Maryland isn't one of them. There's a 2020 less than 90 miles away. Hmmm...

Don't know if you follow the electric forum on ADVR but there is a fellow who has reviewed his 2020 KTM E

I've read some other reviews comparing the 2017 to 2020. Sounds like they really did increase the battery capacity. There is also a good youtube review on the 2020.
