Check this out! Found this today. This was shot on 18 Jul, 5 days before we got there. They rode it in the reverse direction of what we did. The crossing by the suspension bridge starts at 8 min mark in the first video. So, given this and what we saw IRT water level, the water would have been easy 4-5 feet deep in the middle---Suspension bridge definitely was the right choice. They can see the bottom and all kinds of rocks were visible, and the rocky hill (we rode down to get to the crossing, they rode up) was dry and easy for them. All we saw was muddy water and the out was underwater, so we hit it when it was at a very high level. That is Jeff by the way narrating.
You can clearly see between the two how high the creek was----
