After some test riding today, it looks like I'm going to leave the current clutch in for the trip. Everything seems to be working just fine right now. I'll take all of the new parts with me on the trip and do the swap if it starts causing problems. Fortunately, swapping the clutch out on this thing is a piece of cake and only requires two tools: 8mm socket and 27mm socket. I can probably do the whole job in about 20 minutes.

Got her nice and hot today blasting around the yard (10 acres of hills). No problems at all. I even switched back to the MME clutch lever and adjusted it to a good spot. I found about 8' of old telephone pole buried in the field grass so I pulled it out, laid it in a good spot, and practiced crossing it.
