I actually enjoy not working
Re: I actually enjoy not working
i hear ya. i bought my 88 fzr400 in 2007 and found myself without a job a few weeks later. the timing almost seemed perfect -- i spent 70 hours restoring the fzr and didn't have to rush anything. i did a few motorcycle trips and did what i wanted to, when i wanted to.
although i liked it a little too much. not waking up to an alarm for months on end can do that to ya. it took me about 10 months to start looking for a new job...

Re: I actually enjoy not working
When I retired from the USAF, I decided to take a few months off - that turned into 6-months and the only reason I went back to work was threats from Momma. It ruined me. All I can think of now is pay off the mortgage and retire again.

This is the first time since I was 16 that I didn't have a job. Not that a full course load at school wasn't work.
After I retired I went right to 40 hours a week for 5 years.
I feel like I'm getting a well deserved break. I have to pinch a few pennies, but it's worth it.
One more week of finals and a month off until summer semester.
I got some painting to do.
