I went with a few kids on big ATV's to give this place a try and did all the orange and part of the pink trails on a little TW200 before calling it quits !! Call me a sissy but that place is the worst rocky riding area I have ever seen , but one broken big toe and a really bad bruised hip later it was fun for a first time off road adventure !!! But my buddies said you couldn't pay them to do that rock garden again .

If you stayed on the orange and pink, it is much worse in other parts. A few years ago I probably would have agreed with you. The more you get into the offroad riding thing the more I encourage you to challenge yourself and soon that insane rock garden that you wouldnt ride through for $1000 becomes a fun challenge and then just a fun obstacle to mix it up on.
Because else you are just riding on dirtroads...

It was a great learning ride for the first off road adventure , with only minimal pain involved and no damaged equipment , it was just that ONE rock tomany that got me , now on to Michaux !

You need new buddies...I love rock gardens :screwy:
However I would have to agree a T-dub would not be my first choice of bikes to ride at the Cove.
Get a copy of the 7-mountains ramble (dual sport loop) and go have a fun day on something the T-dub would be more at home doing.
I had (key word was had) a T-dub, fun scoot for simple dirt roads, if the dirt bug bites you...go buy a proper dirt bike and enjoy riding the bike and not being ridden by the bike.

Yeah...I thought you were ready to ride at Michaux. Practice some gravel road sliding.

Also it helps to have suspension when riding rocks :lol2:
I too had a T-dub at one time :deal:

I have copies of the maps (available here http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=479515) but does anyone have Garmin GPS routes for the lazy?

Thanks,
