I plan to get down there sometime late tomorrow afternoon. Given the recent turn of events I haven't decided if I'm gonna stay for the duration or pull up stakes and go camp at a piece of property a bit further north to work on/ride some trails that I have neglected getting to this year.

Will be leaving shortly. When I went to load up the bike I spotted a small puddle of oil under it. Seems the gasket I reused on the clutch cover must have had a split in it I hadn't noticed. I had to dig around a bit to find the spare gasket I had tucked away. All button back up now and loaded. Just have to get a few things squared away at the home front and I'll be on my way.

I'll be at site D12.

First day down. We all improvised a dirt route and still had a pretty good day.
Everyone made it back though Paul had a pretty good spill and banged his shoulder up pretty good.

Ill put up a few pics and a little ride report after I get back.

Gary did an excellent job leading both days. Thanks, Gary!

Both days had excellent dirt (not just gravel) roads and great scenery. After lunch on the first day, we did pretty much pavement back to camp, but it was such great pavement with very fun twisties that it was very enjoyable. As my Dad said, it was kind of like all the stuff we did in the morning, but with no dust. Day one was 145ish miles.

Day two, since we going off on our own, we skipped the riders meeting and were on the road at 7:45. More great roads including a gem of rough dirt road had us doing 120ish miles and back at camp shortly after noon.

This ended up bring a great Shenandoah 500. Except for once, it was just us, blasting around the countryside. It was nice eating the dust of only 3-5 bikes instead of 3-5 hundred bikes.
