Shade Mountain this weekend (sat 8/27 or sun 8/28)?

I wilted like a delicate little flower today. I don't do well in heat/humidity and it kicked my butt (although Joe says it wasn't hot). Shade is too far for me to drive to just get one loop in but I was spent.

It was only like 85 there, come on This ride was much better with my Husky vs the yamaha wr-f I rode last time.



Also, I hit a spider web that I thought I was going to get stuck in. That spider opted for the mil spec package instead of the standard duty

Heat can be brutal.
Hopefully it wont be too bad in a week and a half when we go riding.

I'm definitely looking forward to fall and winter and do hope we get some cool weather for the cove ride coming up.

Thanks for the reports. The heat is hard on the OFG too!

So did you and/or Joe go UP the hard southern most trail (steep and rocky with the high side to your left & low side right) that would be on a counter clockwise loop (this would be starting from the right side of the parking lot (with you back to the paved road) and taking all the right turns?

We ran clockwise for the most part. But when we got to the bottom of the hill I turned around and took a run at going back up it.

That is a CHALLENGING climb!

Hard to believe but that was an option at the end of the 7-Mtns DS last year! (An all day long event)
We'd gotten lost (me and Trialsrider) so were late getting there and they were stopping people from going UP as the course worker help crew were DEAD from pushing/dragging stuck bikes! DUH!
