Re: Moto Cove Feb 24th, 25th or 26th
Just a note, the road to the front office isn't bad, but the road to the parking area is less than stellar. Not car friendly. I've done it once, would not advise

This is a good point. I forgot about that "road".gots_a_sol wrote:Just a note, the road to the front office isn't bad, but the road to the parking area is less than stellar. Not car friendly. I've done it once, would not advise

May I suggest we meet at camp 6. To get there veer towards left and follow the gravel rd along the lake. This will end in a huge clearing called camp 6. Best not to ask as they rather us bottom out our cars towards atv camp parking. It's kinda breaking their rules but it's not a busy camping weekend and they won't make a big deal out of it. Also this is where I intend to do most of my riding. I have always parked at camp 6.
To Mr Nobody, I have been trail riding 3 times now. I'm a total novice. You could ride with me and my other noob friend that I'm bringing...

I haven't ridden in a few weeks, so if I'm free next weekend I'll come out too.

After thinking about it, we need to park where they want us too . We do not need to give damnriders a bad Rep. However I will get there early and ask if we can park at camp 6.
I'm very excited to ride my new to me ktm. I rode it today for first time to my friends house and did his hill climb that he could not make up. I did it on the first try. Love a rekluse!!!! However my bikes name is breast milk cause it is lowered so much and apparently I look ridiculous on it. But hey I made it up the hill!

That might take the cake for the weirdest bike name ever.
I demand you get some custom decals to match.

Hey dude, I'm pretty much a scrub and didn't have too hard a time at Granville's (other than burning my ass on my friends header). There are some tougher hill climbs (for me) but there are go-arounds for nearly everything. If you can handle the rocks at Cove or harder sections at Tasker's I think Granville's ride will be just fine. Probably the hardest part (for me) was the single track. Riding mostly cove/tasker's I dont get any practice, so threading the trees was new.Nobody wrote: ↑Fri Feb 17, 2017 11:53 amThanks, sounds good to me, I plan to be there on 25th.
Looks like I will go alone, we don't have guns or winter swimming experience :D.
It's time to test bike carrier I bought recently :).
Granville's ride is demanding some skill level and I don't have a clue what is a "C" rider. Perhaps you guys will be able to tell me after the Cove :).
I'm not completely new to dirt riding, but also not really skilled, just recently started to try more than just riding forest roads. And unfortunately I've had a very few off-road rides last 2 years..
My bike has a skid plate and hand guards. It's DRZ400E 2007, so it is something between normal E model and S :D. Doesn't have a Keihin FCR carb though :(.
Watched a couple of videos about riding there, some places will be challenging for sure, but it looks like great fun! See you there!
P.S.Do you meet there or go ride one by one? If you meet, at what time or how can I find you?
