Washington Area Trail Riders Spring Trail Ride 23 April 2017.WATR Spring Trail Ride 4/23
I'm thinking of riding up at Granville's on the 22nd and then going to the WATR ride on the 23rd. Is anyone else going?

About this Spring Trail Ride: Anybody ever been to this event, any opinions on what this is like? Is it the most you can ride is a 14-mile loop?

Nice, flowing single track. No rocks. 14 miles is doing all the options. Nothing exceptionally hard to deal with other than some off camber stuff. You can search youtube for videos, Eagle Bay is the name of this place.
Show up in the morning, pay money, listen to the riders meeting, ride until you can't any more. Or 3 pm, whichever comes first for you
I'll be there with the club working. I can post an update Saturday night as to the trail conditions.

So I assume you can just ride any section you like over and over, or whatever combo of sections you feel like, as long as you start a trail before 3 pm? And they all loop back to the parking lot or staging area?

Re: 2017 Rides and Events
Well you could just do certain sections I suppose. There is a dirt road that cuts through the long loop and you cross it a few times, so you could jump back and forth but you'd have to sort out which way to go as it isn't marked for that.
Sweep riders go out and run the full long loop at 3, so as long as you get out ahead of us you're fine.
Here is an older map that shows the general lay out. A little bit more trail has been added since this was made.

The weather for this weekend looks like it may be wet. We are going to make the Go/No-Go call on the Spring Trail Ride on April 20th. We'll send another email announcing the decision or you can check our website https://watr.us
Thanks!
