Good morning all, new member here, from Sykesville, MD. I used to be a member of the MADRiders (if any of those guys are on here). Been riding street and dirt bikes for many years. Got out of riding for a while to make babies. Mission accomplished, back on the bike. Picked up my first dual-sport bike (CRF250L) late last year. I've already spent an irresponsible amount of money on mods. Feels good. Looking forward meeting up/riding with members from this group.

Hi NewGuy. The CRF250L is great dualsport. Bring it out to MtRidge next weekend for our Reunion ride.

I've been reading up on the May 20 ride. It's about 2.5 hours from me. I may be able to drive up early Saturday and ride all day. Gotta roll out around 4pm that afternoon for another engagement, but it'd still be worth it.

Yes, still worth it for just a day trip!
I'll have a friend there who is also on the newer side and riding a CRF250L

I used to ride a KTM 200XC-W, but that was dirt-only. For dualsport, I wanted something where my feet would touch with more authority on the street... hence the CRF. I'm 5'4" short. I wish I could sit comfortably on a KTM 450. Still waiting on a growth spurt...

Shoot, I think my old 450 had a seat taller than that
I guess I should offer that I'm a normal sized guy - 6'4"
