Was thinking about coming over early and ride for an hour before I go home and sleep.

I’d be in for this. Gotta get my riding in this year before the baby ruins everything.

IME: Start them on a Strider balance bike and look for used a StaCyc or OSET 12.5. Will never need training wheels. Advantages of electric: **WAY** lighter (20#/50# vs 110#), can't burn the kid's leg when it falls on them and they aren't strong enough to lift it back up, come in smaller sizes to start them younger, power AND speed limiters, no kick start / clogged carb (ethanol gas) tomfoolery, silent (can teach them to ride in the front yard/street and the neighbors think its cool), and can transport in the trunk of grandma's car w/o stinking it up. Kids will learn faster and at a younger age w/ electric. Once they are ready to go clutch, find a bigger gas bike.

I definitely have to agree. Especially in the neighborhood where BJT lives. Kid could actually use an electric bike w/out causing a problem w/ neighbors.smdub wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 5:04 pm
