Looking to upgrade CRF70
Looking to upgrade CRF70
Hello!
Son is not quite 5' tall, and is almost 12 years old. He's currently riding a CRF70 and is definitely too big for it, though he can still ride it. I'm looking for a replacement. He'd probably fit an XR80 perfectly right now, but it wouldn't take long for him to outgrow it. So, maybe an XR100? TTR125? What else is available, especially that has an electric start?
Here's a good comparison --
Anyone have anything they are looking to sell?
Anyone looking to buy a CRF70? I have at least one for sale in the very near future!
Thanks,
~Patrick

I have a CRF150r I'm ready to let go....
Not electric start and not beginner friendly I also have a KTM 65sx but it's small and needs engine/trans work. Apparently you need to keep oil in the case....

Take a look at the SSR bikes. They are fairly inexpensive and some of the better Chinese knockoffs. Ride On Moto sells them.

Agreed. SSR or PitsterPro are pretty decent for "cheap Chinese" stuff. Not a bad idea for kids who will quickly outgrow it anywayjuddspaintballs wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:04 pmTake a look at the SSR bikes. I had an SSR 125 pitbike for a short while. The suspension was pretty cheap, but a lot of the other components were actually pretty good.

I'll check out the SSR bikes.
The benefit to the Hondas, etc, is that while they can be more expensive, if you buy one used, use it for a couple years, you can sell it for as much as you paid for it.
Thanks,
~Patrick

I have no idea what it's worth. $1000? I almost certainly need to clean the pilot jet. It could probably use a size or two up from the stocker...
Re: Looking to upgrade CRF70
I may be interested in the 70...
