SAVAGE RIVER DUAL SPORT 5/29-5/31

Post by Granville » Mon Feb 03, 2020 8:14 pm

I plan on hosting a new event that will combine the thrills of the single track in the morning and exploring the scenic area in the afternoon with a dual sport ride.
There are many sights worth seeing and fresh paved roads to explore just up the road from Camp Granville. Are you guys ready for a new adventure?
More information to follow as the date approaches.

That sounds like a great idea. Love mixing in some of both.
Lots of cool bikes---

This might be the only Granville Weekend that lines up with my days off.

I'll plan on bringing multiple bikes to ride off and on the property.

I hope this weekend happens. It will depend on the Governor allowing gatherings of 10+ and of course the weather. The concept is we can gather as early as Friday afternoon, ride the single-track Saturday AM and then do the "Great Savage River Dual Sport" in the afternoon. Depending on how long we loiter at some of the attractions along the way, this is a 2-1/2 to 4-plus ride. Dinner and camping Saturday night at the property are the next options.

Here is the map of the "Great Savage River Dual Sport" and some photos of some attractions along the way. The bonus is if we can get a bit of a quick group tour of Wolfs Den State Park. No promises on that tour and have not even asked the question yet.

It would be nice to see this work out.
It if does, then it looks like some of us will have a busy few days.

It would really be nice if this were to happen. I have not ridden my gas bikes at all this year. Camping Friday and Saturday? I need to check the wheel bearings on the teardrop.
