These work well and don't take up much room and are strong.
I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Don't forget to bring hot weather gear, because even with it, you're going to be like this --
On a related note, on Monday I did the hard enduro training with Cody Webb. There was no rain, and hardly any puddles, yet at the end of the day my feet were all wrinkly. I'm not sure my waterproof socks are going to accomplish anything when I think the problem is sweat running down my legs, down my socks, and into my boots. But maybe at least being insulated from muddy and sometimes rancid water should help. *crossing fingers*

I have reservations but no buddy. My coworker who thought he'd come has predictably dropped out. If anyone still needs someone to cuddle w/ at night, let me know. No one that snores (I don't). No preference to big or little spoon.

Below email sent with the files (GPX and GDB versions) to my regular crew who I have addresses for. If anyone else wants it, just PM me your address:
"Attached is the file I have developed for the KAT adventure ride piece. (HM single track is next on my list)
I started with the most recent file from Jeff’s KAT website. I then had to invert everything as it was set up to run it CC like we did it last time and not clockwise like this trip. By inverting it you can actually navigate the track if you GPS supports this. I then chopped the tracks (and options) into days to match the itinerary\lodging picked out.
In terms of my naming convention, my plan is to wake up on day 1 and “show on map” everything that has a 1 in front of it. That way when the track ends, I know the day is over and I don’t accidentally keep going. On day 2, I “show on map” everything with a 2 in front of it and so on. I did modify the tracks to take me right to the hotel each night so my organization of the tracks by day is really just a fail safe (so you can do as you please if your mind doesn’t work like mine…)
Notes on the tracks:
The green tracks are the “Main” Route
The yellow tracks are a couple of by-passes on the main route that Jeff includes for the real pussies
The red tracks are the “hard” options
And the dark red tracks are the “Extreme” options.
Notes on the days:
Day 1: 230 miles
Day 2: 208 miles
Day 3: 112 miles (this is where we start our turn north on the “harder” western side of the loop. After 2 days of HM single track and then two, 200 mile days I tried to keep this one shorter, but it’s still a big day.
Day 4: 167 miles (you best wear your big-boy britches for this day, there are more hard options than any other day)
Day 5: 210 miles
Luv,
SJ

Good deal SJ! I loaded it on the Voyager Pro and it works great! I can see all of the tracks with the numbers/names in my directory. I really like how the Voyager Pro works! Is it time to go yet?
I am gonna head out Saturday at 0700. That should put me in Matewan by ~1530.

You were riding with Wingfixer! I could recognize that riding style anywhere!

Even tried the Rossi leg dangle right at the end to try and save it. Didn't work.

^ Haha.
SJ, I sent you a PM w/ my email for the gpx tracks
FWIW, I have space in the van for a bike & passenger if anyone needs it.
Edit: do folks try to get a little riding in on Sat evening? My larger main jets won't be here until Wed so I may need to do some more tuning. I'll probably try to make a short loop or climb that hill at the start of 191? Thats one of the places the bike bogged like crazy before.

I'm going to try to get out early Sat too. Leave @ 0800 should put me there at the same time as you. Going to try the southern 81/64 route this time (vs 68/79 last time).Firebolter wrote: ↑Mon Jul 13, 2020 6:23 amI am gonna head out Saturday at 0700. That should put me in Matewan by ~1530.
