Heard these were delayed again?

And apparently the parent company of Royal Enfield just pumped $50 mil in to them.

Yup, I read somewhere there are issues with alot of the battery related resources needed right now and with all of the competition in the auto industry for the same resources, guess who wins!

That's a little spendy but hey:
The battery itself is lined by a patented magnesium honeycomb case with a patented cell holder structure.
Isn't magnesium combustible? We used to have fun with lighting off magnesium in high school by striking an arc with electrical current. I'm pretty sure one of my idiot friends permanently damaged his eyes looking at the bright white hot burning magnesium.

The plastics and other part prices seem pretty reasonable. $150 for all the plastics isn't bad at all IMO.

The battery at $7550 is high but not completely out of line for 6.5kWh ($1140/kWh). The KTM E is $3800 for 4.0kWh ($950/kWh) though that was 2021 price and could have gone up a little. Even a high quality aftermarket SurRon battery runs about $850/kWh. Batteries are simply expensive.

isn't that SOP for anything EV? Batteries seem to be 1/2 the cost or more.

Certainly true for power tools. I keep putting off buying M18 replacements because they're almost the same cost as buying a tool+batt combo (but mostly because I'm cheap). It's probably not a real concern anyways, I'll let the electric crowd weigh in on how many times they had to replace any of their surron/ freeride batteries.

$540 for that tiny little tool kit? effin lols...

Other than that, it's nice that it looks like you could buy the entire bike from their "accessories" catalogue and put it together yourself.
