I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

You could use minimal batteries just to power the lights and pass inspection.

Worry about a more permanent solution later.

Yup - I think you are right. I can get a sealed battery for ~$50.

The permanent solution is the SV650 powered Hornet!

The Dual-Sport Wasp project is back on! :hi5:

Update - The guys on the CR500 forum say the 87 and later ignition from a CR250 and CR500 will retrofit. So, once I have more money I'll pick up a complete ignition system and install it. :brows:

would the electronic ignition that service honda has work on this bike? or are you trying to stay as cheap as possible? I answered my first question except for the unavailable part

if it had been available, that would have been the preferred option. Over on the CR500 forums, I've found out the CR250 ignition will fit... if yours comes up missing... :freakey:

Okay - turn signals, lights, horn, etc work using a spare battery versus installing a lighting circuit.

Next is to hook up the speedometer, install the temperature sensor, connect the turn signal indicators, etc.

Am installing the MT-16s and heavy duty tubes Saturday AM.

Then back to the fabricator/welder to make a battery box and mount, and fabricate a new front caliper bracket that includes a mount for the speed sensor.

It is getting there!

Getting some of those old tires off was definently a two man chore.

Fresh tires and a lower front sprocket. She is coming along nicely.
