I'd like another street bike at some point in the future. The Strom is on my short list too.

I had one before and I loved it. I sold it in a rush so I could buy something else I wanted and I've regretted it since. This one was from a friend and a deal I couldn't pass up.

Congrats Jed.
I am thinking of a run down the BRP this fall on the Tiger, I am sure it would like to meet the wee...

All the way down? I've only done the length of it once, but I could make a 2-3 day trip out of it in July maybe.

Pfft..2-3
days! We did it in about 12 hours!
Granted, the Connie needed new tires by the end...

I meant for a down and back trip, not 3 days to get all the way down (that's waaay to long)

We did the trip that Jay refers to in 4 days, IIRC. We rode down for the "Run with the Wolf" ride, its a Concours owners group ride. I'd love to do it again! We did ride the entire length down, thus the baby butt smooth tires, we rode a section of it back North after I told Jay that was the only way he could convince me to buy new tires in Georgia. I still think they would have gotten me home if we'd stuck to highways.

4 days is probably the ticket. Something like get down to Staunton\Waynesboro for the start of the BRP on day 1 (that could be done in half a day if necessary). Day 2 would be 375 miles of the BRP to just north of Ashville. Day 3 would be a full blown assault on the Diamondback:
https://switzerlandinn.com/diamondback/ (This is the primary mission of this trip) and day 4 is B-line home up 81.
I have the weekend of 9/17 blocked out for this trip on my schedule, sandwiched between the 7 Mountains Dual sport and the Moonshine Endruo; September is going to be Awesome!
And there was no way those tires were getting you home from Georgia, not the way you ride!!
