but you get credit for having big brass ones for even trying!chasbo wrote:Yeah, the plan is to wear the Scorps out and get something better. I found out today that they SUCK in ice and snow.
I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Well, you gotta at least try! Don't you? By the way, thanks again for the invite. The ride I had made my day. 100 miles total.

Well I have managed Hawbottom rd with ice and junk too on they hyper which has Corsa III's so maybe I'm not so bright

Re: New Guy
+1 on a good street tire.. Greg (who lurks here) has a main screen pic on ADV rider with his 950ADV keeled over dragging hard parts at the gap on his with the oem scorps (he's wearing the skelton/bones leather)..21783mike wrote:chasbo wrote:Yeah, the plan is to wear the Scorps out and get something better. I have one set to use yet.. However, if you ever need just street tire - the Avon Roadmasters freaking rock and wear well.. If you search YouTube for Ktm 950 Adv and Laguna Seca.. There is a vid of a guy on a 950 Adv chasing down a gixxer 1000.. He is using these tires....
Also, if you haven't done it - the 16T front sprocket make ALLOT of difference :) (that and getting the block off plates from Adv rider and bypassing the emissions crap as well)...

I was going to do the 16t sprocket, but after a lot of riding managed to get to the point where I don't need that or a throttle cam change. The bike is jerky if you are heavy handed, but very controlable once you spend time on it.
I love the Scorps on the road, very smooth and reliable. Plus on dirt roads, they do a decent job as well.
