I have been having problems with the server running out of resources and giving errors. It is better but I'm still getting some periodically. Please report any you get to me at ken@kyler.com.

Got all the bits and pieces cleaned up. The re-assembly started last night. Skid plate & swing-arm r done. Really need the suspension back to get into some serious assembly thrashing :loveit:

Pics coming soon.

The fun part is underway. Here are a few pics.

First, here is my helper Daisy. She is always there looking over my shoulder to make sure I dont get lazy and skip any Loc-Tite or torques

Got the swingarm shined up, lubed and installed.

Next is the pre-fitting of the new triple clamp, bars and a fender from a CRF450R.

I found this warning... Did not know this hobbie might be dangerous :deal:
Image

Up next is to install this kick ass Ebay header. It was sold as a '97 XR header but both me and B Dirt thinks it might be an aftermarket farkle. The view of the fender is before I trimmed 2" off to clear the header

Here the fender is trimmed

Didnt get too much more done over the weekend. I really need the suspension back soon to make progress. Should be picking it up next weekend

Here is a side-by-side of the stock header vs. the Ebay header (mounted).
Image

This sweet FMF Q4 will finish off the new exhaust.
But before it's mounted, we'll have to do some expansion work on the header to get the fit tighter. The sleeve that came with the Q4 wont work on the new header. I called FMF about getting a different sleeve but the dude that sounded like he was :bandit: at lunch time was no help at all.

Also, swapped out the stock footpegs for the IMS pro pegs. :lol2:
