I thought there was a BMW code that forbade the trailering of their bikes.

Dude -- don't be such a whiner. I rode an FRZ1000 from DC to San Fran & back. Of course, I was a younger man then. FYI, it was uphill, both ways. In the snow. We ate rocks and loved it.
