On 5/2 NVTR will be hosting it's 20th Annual Spring Trail Ride in King George, Va. This is a charity event supporting the King George Optimist Club. Everything goes to the Optimist. This ride is on private land with some of the best maintained trails you will find on the east coast. There will be riding for all ages and skills group, from a pee-wee grass track for the little ones, a 2 mile beginners woods loop as well as intermediate and expert loops. All trails are well marshaled to ensure safety for all riders. The trails are more of an enduro single track type trail and may not be suitable for big bikes. That does not mean some have not tried. Sorry, no quads. This is a great family event that supports a great cause. The flier should be out soon on the http://WWW.NVTR.org web site.

The 2010 Spring Trail Ride will be held on Sunday May 2nd. Again this year, the event will be held at Eagle Bay in King George, VA, just east of Fredricksburg. As in years past, all proceeds from the event will go to the local Optimist Club.
This is a great fun family event for riders of all ages and skill levels. We have loops for peewee, novice, intermediate and expert riders. The event is held on very limited access private land. The trails are well maintained throughout the year and are not abused. The event is scored as a Match Trial, where you compete against yourself to ride the most consistent back to back lap times without using any timekeeping devices. Trophies and awards will be given out at the end of the day for the riders with the most consistent laps. Come check it out, you're sure to have a good time!
Suspension Workshop at Lunch Break (12pm) - As a special treat this year, local suspension guru Allen Shaffer of ASR-4 Suspension Works - http://asr-4suspension.com/ will teach you about the basics of dirt bike suspension tuning during the lunch break at 12pm.
